Who Are We?

We are Evanston's community band.  Our name, the Ridgeville Band of Evanston, reflects the ongoing support we receive from Evanston's Ridgeville Park District.  The members of the Ridgeville Band are a group of about 35 music lovers with a wide range of life experience, from high school students to retirees.  We include teachers, lawyers, graphic designers, doctors, salespeople, social workers, computer programmers and students.  Many members had played previously only in high-school or college musical organizations before joining the Ridgeville Band.  Some members have played with professional music groups.  We are brought together by our shared passion for playing band music and are proud that we create an easy-going, fun and supportive environment in which to play. The Ridgeville Band of Evanston is conducted by Monty Adams.
